The Sun Is Hungry

Apparently today  video was taken by SOHO the the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory of a comet that got a little but to close to the sun. Watch the video below as a comet flies directly into the sun. You can’t really tell what exactly happens to it but considering the gravitational pull the sun has I would say that it defiantly was absorbed into the sun. This video is not only really cool but according to article on the SOHO website it is very significant. It is the 1500th comet captured making SOHO the most successful comet discoverer in history. This has a lot to do with SOHO’s position between the sun and the earth, giving it a unique perspective that can’t be seen from earth.
